Meet The Team – Simon Gaffney…
Simon has been with the PPi since 2013. He finished his toolmaking apprenticeship in 1990 at A.H.Austin and Son in Ware.
Simon is a keen cyclist and has enjoyed many mounting bike trips to the Edale in Derbyshire and North Wales including riding up the summit of Mount Snowdon. Simon also takes part in local sportive rides ranging from 50 to 100 miles. In 2003 Simon cycled rom Lands End to John O Groats in aid of the young children of Chernobyl completing over 100 miles a day.
Simon is also a talented musician playing the cornet and trumpet in various music groups including symphony orchestras, dance and jazz bands. Simon mainly now plays in brass bands including Ware Brass, The Luton & Welwyn Garden City Bands. Simons has toured all over the UK , many parts of Europe as well as America.
